I absolutely love the desk top app. I am currently doing the 14 day trial for conqu sync. This product has been transformational already. In fact, I'm thinking about featuring it in a productivity workshop I'm teaching next month (which could be great for you all)
Have you guys considered creating customizable templates on the left hand side of the app?
For example: simple is fabulous. For me, I instantly get lost/overwhelmed with all of the options on the left. I was actually working on a screen shot for my presentation where I encourage people to not pay attention to some of the items on the left and then I thought, "Hey I should just notify them and see if they could make that option"
For those starting out, maybe a simpler layout would be better....than as they progress, add in some buttons/features such as backburner.
I would suggest taking out the following: contexts, tags, backburner, notifications, archives.

Thank you for your suggestion. I agree that beginners can get lost with all the options. Maybe a would be good to leave the basics and guide the user on how to use the more advanced features.
