So, the software cannot sync via an online account unless one downloads the FREE software and pays you $53.00 for access? Really? A bit deceptive don't ya' think? Being able to edit the side bar items would be nice too!

Batch add tags or set project
The current batch interface lets you move tasks to Next, Today, Back Burner, and Trash. It would be nice if it also let you add tags or projects instead of having to add those one by one

Background Notifications
Have your application show pop ups or make a sound when tasks are due on the said day I.E
if a task is due today I should get a notification without opening the application.

I'd like the UI enhanced, it's sleek an neat but I'd like when hovering over a tab I.E Inbox or Today etc I'd like visual feedback thanks whether it be the mouse icon change or a color highlight that'd be appreciated thanks

Drag and drop tasks anywhere
Drag and drop features for tasks so you can drag a task into a project, the inbox, backburner etc

Give user ability to define custom fields
Custom Fields. I just started using the app and I like the contexts fields. It is a very versatile way of relating tasks together. However there may be other criteria specific to my use that a drop-down is makes more sense. For example "Priority" - high, med, low, or something like "Request Type" - feature request, break fix, software bug, or "Approval" - approved, needs approval, needs budgeting, etc...
I think if I had the ability to create a new field, and define the field as either a drop with with limited options, or a text field, it would allow…4 votes -
Smart filters
Smart filters. There needs to be a smart filtering mechanism that would allow me to get quick view on say every outstanding task in the DB, those with just certain context and another criteria etc.

Folders or Libraries containing similar items
Folders in which you could call the folder a library and in that folder would be related items. When not needing to be seen the folder could be collapsed. This is just another way of delinating tasks so that not too much is in front of us, what is should be important and it would provide more screen real estate.

Pricing product/model rationalization
Reduce cost of sync. Either charge for the app and eliminate sync charges or get them in line with the competition. I'm for paying a reasonable amount for the app which would include sync than paying $53 USD yearly for sync. I'm used to paying for an app, I'm not used to such high reccurring charges in a currency I can't control the costs of.
